Brief Impression (click on read more to see the full review): a dominant candied honey fragrance

Prairie Nymph seems to follow the principle that a joke must have a connection between the scent and the inspiration linked to the joke but at the same time not forget about the scent quality and coeherence from the beginning until end. This Smell Bent takes fun of exagerated sexed names and inspirations and proposes you a chic whore fragrance (the author explains at his typad blog that prairie nymph is a slang for whoker). If you expect this one to be trashy, think twice, is one of the best centered compositions on beeswax. Prairie nymph explores both the sensual, animalic aspects of honey and sweet, innocent facets of this incredible material.

Honey and beewax are explored throughout the entire composition and the balance is incredible. This is a honey able to control the animalic aspects of honey without killing it. You have both the candy, syrupy aspects of honey and the flowery, slightly animalic sides of this note that in intense quantities can transform the aroma on a pee direction from some. This nymph opens with a toasted honeyed beeswax note, made slightly citrusy by the clementines. This phase makes the honey smells delicate, innocent, as if the honey was peeled by a natural sugar. And then the flowery aspects of honey balances the aura, making it more filfhty but not trashy. The carnation spice and warm the idea and its the companion of honey until the drydown, where this aroma turns into a toasted and drier direction and slightly suported by a transparent creamy musk.

You would expect prairie nymph to be dirty, almost fecal, animalic and metalic, and its surprising that the scent goes very far from that. Its a scent that must not be judged by its name and inspiration, cause they hide a great honey surprise. It's hard to find natural honey aromas which are complex, pleasant and able to hold it until the end of composition. And the irony here is that a whore joke inspired fragrance is one of the best ones in this task. Leave the prejudices behind if you love honeyed scents, this is among the best.
