Brief Impression (click on read more to see the full review):a mix of citrus, green and leafy aromas with a sparkling and soapy aldehydic touch.

The spray tan incident is a smell bent fragrance that takes a joke to produce a very well structured fragrance. Taking the inspiration on people that overdo on artificial spraying tan and get a plastic orangey tanning, it simulates a citric fragrance that tries so hard to retain its citric aspect that achieves the edge of natural and plastic. But this is done with a clever use of notes avoiding smelling cheap at any time of the evolution on skin.

The opening is the moment where you have the most intense orange aroma. Is it as if you were peeling an orange and smelling the fresh juice of its peel and pulp comming to your nose. But at the same time this orangey aroma has a discreet artificial note that makes you think of orange flavored tang. Maybe to balance it you have a leafy aroma mixed into the orange to bring the inspiration into a greener direction. And at the same you time you noticed a sparkling, slightly soapy aura comming from the orange inspiration, as if at the tanning it had received a special glittering treatment - courtesy of aldehydes here. As the scent evolutes the tanning gets more natural, the soapy and sparkling aspects goes away and the idea transform itself on a relaxed woody aroma of a discreet green flowery edge. Its hard to pick notes at this point, it seems that the wood are balanced to evoke an abstract and distant idea instead of a strong and detectable woody presence.

The conflict of the natural and fake aspects of Spray Tan Incident will not please everyone, but its not something that prejudices the fragrance. In fact, it's part of the theme and it's a part that is seriously structured, evoking the exaggeration of an orange in her dream of becoming the most orangey of all oranges. But this is an orange that notices her incident and it's able to correct it as it develops on skin. Another fun fragrance that is worth being sampled from a relaxed and diversified line.
