Manos Gerakinis Sillage Suave - Fragrance Review

Like many new brands that have emerged, my first contact with Manos Gerakinis was through social networks in one of the facebook groups. At first the minimalist and luxurious presentation caught my attention and I wanted to know what this niche brand of Greek origin had to offer. The initial proposal is something that could leave me a little cautious, since Manos Gerakinis wants to offer luxury perfumes with a focus on performance. So much so that his first collection is called sillage, with the aim of emphasizing that his creations were made for those who use them to make an impression.
Although this is something important in the brand and in that line, it is interesting that Manos manages to achieve a result that does not sound like more of the same. A good way to realize this at first is in Sillage Suave, a kind of interesting scent made for the hottest temperatures of the year. And although this leads to an expected and generous use of citrus, the most interesting part of the composition is the use of green notes in the composition.
There is a fine protagonism of the Galbanan absolute here, which marries well with the perfumer's desire to create lasting perfumes while imparting a unique touch of fresh grass to the citrus effervescence of the opening. There is an interesting contour that refers to fresh spices and a slightly lactonic woody appearance. As the perfume evolves the facet of musk gain prominence and there is a good synergy between them and the nuances of iris and woods. It is a work that strives to achieve a balance between performance and identity which is consistent with the proposal, that of being a perfume that persists and made for the heat. It is very well done when looking at all aspects as a whole.
